Altar x Tacchini

Pre-hispanic hand carved stone sculpture.

The Altar side tables are designed with the auger system created and adopted as one of EWE Studio's particular design language since 2021, bringing it to life with known Mexican artisanal processes as ceramics which is also one of Tacchini's specialized processes along with carpentry and concrete casting.

The Altar pieces, in their intention to honor the process and raw materials, are inspired by the flat-surfaced monoliths used in pre-Hispanic rituals and ceremonies, especially in sacrifices or offerings to the gods.
